Objective approach
No per-difficulty item manifest is recorded for this guide. Follow the on-screen tracker, then use the notes below to decide what to stage before committing to the final hand-in.
- Read the objective tracker after every major interaction; many ICARUS prospects reveal the next step only after the current one completes.
- Stage resources at the hand-in or build site before triggering final timers, wildlife waves, or extraction travel.
- If the guide has a manifest above, build the Hard list first when possible; it covers lower-difficulty planning and avoids under-packing.
- Keep the return route open. A finished objective still fails the run if the crew cannot safely reach the dropship or delivery pod.
Preparation
- Start with a bedroll, campfire or shelter kit, oxygen and water storage, bandages, splints, and enough food to cover the full route.
- Assign one player to navigation and one to resource accounting so the crew does not duplicate long hauls or miss a delivery line.
- Use the loadout list below as the minimum kit, then add mission-specific tools before launch.
Hazards and controls
- Severe weather / storms.: plan a countermeasure before leaving the initial safe zone; do not wait until the tracker sends you across-map.
Execution checklist
- Before drop: confirm prerequisite unlocks, mission timer, loadout, and who carries shared deployables.
- On landing: locate water, set a respawn point, and confirm the first objective marker before building a permanent base.
- Mid-run: consolidate loot and mission items at one marked cache; keep one repair kit and medical stack on each player.
- Before extract: verify every optional delivery, reward unlock, and follow-up objective is complete before leaving orbit-side cargo behind.

Briefing
DISRUPT ARCTIC STORM SYSTEM WITH EXPERIMENTAL TECH
//OPERATOR: Lagos Unit
//REGION: Southern Glacier
//BACKGROUND: In the aftermath of terraforming, Icarus weather systems descended into chaos. Worst hit was the now-arctic regions, where environmental shifts have triggered endless storm patterns, rendering the zone almost inaccessible. The Operator, however, believes they can disrupt the storm using an experimental Group 15-designed sonic device.
//MISSION: Retrieve the device, deploy at the trigger zone and end the storm to - maybe - unlock this region.
//TERMS: The Contractor acknowledges and undertakes all risks associated with travel into an unexplored zone.
Can be started in an Olympus Open World as an Operation - requires the C0NT4CT Device.
Objectives
Expedition: Disrupt Perma-Storm
- Retrieve device component 1
- Travel to the map location (M)
- Collect the equipment
- Retrieve device component 2
- Travel to the map location (M)
- Collect the equipment
- Retrieve device component 3
- Travel to the map location (M)
- Collect the equipment
- Assemble the device
- Deploy and Activate the Disrupter above ground and under shelter in the Glacier Arctic
Hints & tips
The Southern Glacier contains Polar Bears. Fur Armor, a Campfire, and a shelter is highly recommended. Once all components have been retrieved, the device can be assembled in the Character Crafting menu. The device must be placed in shelter (it will not work in a cave) and can be activated despite there not being a storm. If at any point the device becomes unsheltered, progress will reset to 0%, and it will need to be reactivated.
Recommended loadout
- Weapon each + shared ammo pool
- Bedroll, campfire kit, 3× bandage each
- Food for the full day count, water containers
- Repair tools + spare pick/axe
