• Stage resources at the hand-in or build site before triggering final timers, wildlife waves, or extraction travel.

• Keep the return route open. A finished objective still fails the run if the crew cannot safely reach the dropship or delivery pod.

Preparation

• Start with a bedroll, campfire or shelter kit, oxygen and water storage, bandages, splints, and enough food to cover the full route.
• Assign one player to navigation and one to resource accounting so the crew does not duplicate long hauls or miss a delivery line.
• Use the loadout list below as the minimum kit, then add mission-specific tools before launch.

Hazards and controls

• No special hazard is recorded, so default to storm shelter, wound treatment, spare tools, and enough ammunition for unexpected predators.
• Long travel remains the risk: mark caves, water, and emergency shelter locations as you move.

Execution checklist

• Before drop: confirm prerequisite unlocks, mission timer, loadout, and who carries shared deployables.
• On landing: locate water, set a respawn point, and confirm the first objective marker before building a permanent base.
• Mid-run: consolidate loot and mission items at one marked cache; keep one repair kit and medical stack on each player.
• Before extract: verify every optional delivery, reward unlock, and follow-up objective is complete before leaving orbit-side cargo behind.

LOCATE AND REPAIR A LOST DROPSHIP

//BACKGROUND: The operator has lost a valuable asset on the surface and cannot abandon it for fear it may be discovered by other teams.
//MISSION: Locate and repair the damaged dropship and ensure its safe return to orbit.
//TERMS: Flat fee. All safety and survival concerns are the responsibility of the Contractor.
This mission cannot be started as an Operation in an Open World.

• Locate the Crashed Dropship (M)
  • Repair the Gyroscope
  • Repair the Damaged Gyroscope (Crafting Bench)
  • Place the Gyroscope in the Ship
  • Replace the Thruster
  • Find a new Thruster in the nearby Wreckage (M)
  • Place the Thruster in the Ship
  • Fuel the Ship
  • Place a Full Can of Biofuel in the Ship
  • Trigger a Reboot of the Dropships Systems
  • Defend the Dropship from Local Wildlife as it Reboots

Hints & tips

WARNING: Failing to protect the dropship, resulting in it exploding, will result in a mission failure and will require you to leave the mission and return to try again. Wood Wall Fortifications and Wood Spikes Fortifications will help immensely. The new thruster is defended by a black jaguar boss - be prepared. Prospectors cannot use an MXC Fuel Canister to fuel the ship. Creating and filling a new Biofuel Can or using the one provided is required.
