Objective approach
-
Easy: Construction: Igloo: Ice pieces placed x20; Construction: Igloo: Bed coziness x25.
-
Normal: Construction: Igloo: Ice pieces placed x30; Construction: Igloo: Bed coziness x50.
-
Read the objective tracker after every major interaction; many ICARUS prospects reveal the next step only after the current one completes.
-
Stage resources at the hand-in or build site before triggering final timers, wildlife waves, or extraction travel.
-
If the guide has a manifest above, build the Hard list first when possible; it covers lower-difficulty planning and avoids under-packing.
-
Keep the return route open. A finished objective still fails the run if the crew cannot safely reach the dropship or delivery pod.
Preparation
- Start with a bedroll, campfire or shelter kit, oxygen and water storage, bandages, splints, and enough food to cover the full route.
- Assign one player to navigation and one to resource accounting so the crew does not duplicate long hauls or miss a delivery line.
- Use the loadout list below as the minimum kit, then add mission-specific tools before launch.
Hazards and controls
- No special hazard is recorded, so default to storm shelter, wound treatment, spare tools, and enough ammunition for unexpected predators.
- Long travel remains the risk: mark caves, water, and emergency shelter locations as you move.
Execution checklist
- Before drop: confirm prerequisite unlocks, mission timer, loadout, and who carries shared deployables.
- On landing: locate water, set a respawn point, and confirm the first objective marker before building a permanent base.
- Mid-run: consolidate loot and mission items at one marked cache; keep one repair kit and medical stack on each player.
- Before extract: verify every optional delivery, reward unlock, and follow-up objective is complete before leaving orbit-side cargo behind.

Overview
Igloo is a build-a-shelter mission in the Southern Arctic: raise a structure out of ice, furnish it for coziness, and get all four survival systems running — heat, oxygen, water and food. The ice-pieces and coziness targets scale by difficulty (Easy and Normal are in the manifest above; the wiki lists Hard as unconfirmed). The Sinotai Supply Pod gives you a starter kit, but its single shovel won't dig all the ice you need — pick loose ice off the ground too.
Hints & tips
- Mission location is the top-left of D10, on the small frozen pond.
- A door isn't required, though it helps hold temperature.
- The Sinotai Supply Pod provides 100 Wood, 50 Spoiled Meat, 1 Simple Creature Deterrent, 1 Wooden Shovel, 100 Stone, 25 Coal.
- One wooden shovel is not enough to dig all the ice; it takes 1 Wood to repair. Ice can also be picked up off the ground nearby.
- A Rustic Bed + Rustic Armchairs is a cheap way to hit the coziness target; decorations, statues and trophies all count too.
- There are creatures nearby for Raw Meat, so long as you carry a knife.
- The temperature objective is in degrees Celsius — convert if your settings show Fahrenheit. You may need several campfires/heaters; External Temperature is shown top-right.
- Ice Building Pieces are unlocked on the T1 Tech Tree.
- At the end, return to Eden and speak to the Culinary Specialist, Logistics Officer, or Quartermaster for your reward — each offers three choices, and you can talk to all of them before picking.
Recommended loadout
- Weapon each + shared ammo pool
- Bedroll, campfire kit, 3× bandage each
- Food for the full day count, water containers
- Repair tools + spare pick/axe
